TACT Moves to Fund 2027 Nomination Bid for , Cites Reform Momentum

Urbanscopnews reporting

A pro-government advocacy group, the Take Action Campaign for Tinubu (TACT), has formally declared its intention to purchase the presidential Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for ahead of the 2027 general election.

In a letter addressed to the National Chairman of the (APC), , the group outlined its plan as part of a broader effort to mobilize political and financial support for the President’s re-election bid. The correspondence, dated April 4, 2026, was signed by TACT’s Director-General, .

TACT said its decision was driven by what it described as the “significant and far-reaching reforms” undertaken by the Tinubu administration since assuming office. These, the group noted, span economic restructuring, infrastructure expansion, and governance reforms, which it believes require continuity to achieve their full impact.

Speaking while receiving a delegation of APC women leaders on a solidarity visit, Nwulu reiterated the group’s commitment to underwriting the cost of the nomination process. He emphasized that the initiative reflects growing confidence among supporters both within Nigeria and in the diaspora.

According to the group, backing a second-term bid for President Tinubu aligns with the perceived need to consolidate the administration’s policy framework, popularly known as the “Renewed Hope Agenda.” TACT argued that while some of the reforms have presented short-term challenges, they are laying a durable foundation for long-term economic stability and national development.

“The decision to support President Tinubu for a second term is informed by the bold and transformative policies initiated under his leadership. We believe continuity is essential to fully realise the gains of these reforms,” the group stated in part.

TACT further called on Nigerians to remain patient and supportive, urging citizens to demonstrate resilience as the government continues to implement its policy agenda. It maintained that sustained public cooperation would be critical in translating ongoing reforms into tangible socio-economic benefits.

Beyond the planned purchase of nomination forms, the group said it would intensify grassroots engagement, voter education, and advocacy efforts aimed at securing electoral victory for the President in 2027.

The development signals early political mobilization within pro-administration circles, as stakeholders begin to position for the next electoral cycle while framing continuity as central to policy consolidation and national progress.
