Ewu, Edo State — Hon. Godswill Inegbe is set to host another edition of his Elderly Empowerment Programme at the end of this month, continuing a series of social intervention initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of vulnerable members of society across Ewu Kingdom and the wider Esan Central area.

The programme, which focuses on providing support to elderly men and women, forms part of a broader humanitarian and community development effort that has become a recurring feature of Hon. Inegbe’s public service engagements since his appointment by the Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo.

Over the past months, beneficiaries across various communities have received assistance through multiple empowerment initiatives designed to promote social inclusion, economic stability, and improved living conditions. These interventions have included monthly financial support for small and medium-scale business owners, stipends for vulnerable individuals, empowerment packages for persons with disabilities, scholarships for indigent students, healthcare assistance, and the distribution of tools and equipment to artisans to enhance their productivity and self-reliance.

The upcoming elderly empowerment programme is expected to provide additional support to senior citizens, many of whom face economic and social challenges associated with aging. The initiative reflects a continued commitment to ensuring that elderly members of the community are not left behind in ongoing development efforts.

Community-focused welfare programmes have increasingly been recognized as important mechanisms for addressing immediate needs while strengthening social support systems at the grassroots level. By targeting vulnerable populations, such initiatives contribute to improved well-being, dignity, and quality of life for beneficiaries.

Hon. Inegbe’s sustained engagement in empowerment and welfare programmes has positioned these interventions as an important component of ongoing efforts to support human capital development and community advancement within Esan Central.

As preparations continue for the month-end programme, expectations remain high among prospective beneficiaries who look forward to receiving assistance aimed at easing economic pressures and enhancing their overall welfare.

The Elderly Empowerment Programme is expected to bring together elderly men and women from different communities within Ewu Kingdom and surrounding areas, reaffirming a commitment to compassionate service and inclusive community development.
