Okpebholo Redeploys Felix Akhabue to Physical Planning as Edo Reshuffles Four Commissioners

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved a minor reshuffle of the State Executive Council, involving the redeployment of four Commissioners to new portfolios as part of the administration’s efforts to strengthen governance, enhance service delivery and promote greater efficiency in the management of state affairs.

Under the new arrangement, Hon. (Dr.) Felix Ehiguese Akhabue has been redeployed from the Ministry of Water Resources to the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.

Hon. (Barr.) Vincent Osas Uwadiae has, in turn, moved from the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development to the Ministry of Water Resources.

Also redeployed is Hon. Andrew Momodu, who moves from the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy to the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources, while Prof. Omorodion I. Ikponmwosa moves from the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources to the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.

The redeployment takes immediate effect.

The development was contained in a Government Special Announcement dated September 11, 2026, and signed by the Secretary to the Edo State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq.

Governor Okpebholo urged the affected Commissioners to bring their wealth of experience and expertise to bear in their respective new portfolios and remain committed to the implementation of the administration’s SHINE Agenda for the sustainable development of Edo State.
