Chief Amiolemen emphasized that authentic leadership is measured not merely by the offices occupied, but by the measurable impact made on ordinary citizens. He praised Eseigbe’s accessibility, compassion, and consistent engagement with stakeholders at the grassroots, noting that such qualities reflect a genuine concern for community advancement and long-term development.

Responding, Eseigbe reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to prioritizing the welfare of communities across Esan land and Edo State at large. He stressed that sustainable development must originate from the grassroots, insisting that public policies and political aspirations should reflect the real needs and lived experiences of the people. He further explained that the visit formed part of deliberate consultations aimed at fostering unity, seeking wise counsel, and strengthening strategic collaboration between government officials, traditional institutions, and community stakeholders.

“Our mission remains clear — to build stronger communities, expand opportunities for our youths, improve infrastructure, and create an enabling environment for sustainable development,” Eseigbe affirmed, underscoring the importance of inclusive governance rooted in dialogue and partnership.

In another development, the Commissioner demonstrated solidarity and community presence by joining the APC Woman Leader of the Eseigbe Solidarity Movement, Mrs. Charity, as she laid her late mother to rest at the remarkable age of 100. The final burial ceremony, held at Ughodin Quarters in Iruekpen, Esan West Local Government Area, attracted family members, political associates, and well-wishers from across Edo Central who gathered to celebrate a century of impactful life.

Eseigbe described the deceased as a matriarch whose longevity symbolized grace, resilience, and divine favour upon her family and community. He prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and encouraged the bereaved family to find comfort in the enduring legacy she left behind. The event was marked by heartfelt tributes and a strong show of unity among supporters and stakeholders, further reinforcing his consistent engagement beyond official duties.

Meanwhile, the Planning Committee of the Esan Reliance Club of Nigeria (ERCN) paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner as part of preparations to honour him with the Club’s Merit Award. The delegation, led by Chairman Mr. Reliance Ehis Airebamen, formally intimated Eseigbe of the organization’s decision to recognize his outstanding contributions to community development and public service.

According to the committee, the ERCN Merit Award is reserved for distinguished Esan sons and daughters who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to societal advancement and the collective progress of Esanland. The delegation commended Eseigbe’s sustained dedication to grassroots development, noting that his leadership trajectory continues to inspire pride and confidence across the region.

Observers describe the unfolding developments as a strong validation of participatory governance and inclusive leadership, where consultation, solidarity, and institutional recognition converge to shape a compelling narrative of service. Across Iruekpen and beyond, many see these engagements not as isolated events, but as evidence of a deliberate and sustained effort to bridge vision with community realities.

For many in Esan land, the message is unmistakable: development is neither distant nor abstract; it is nurtured through presence, partnership, and purposeful leadership anchored firmly at the grassroots.
