In a significant demonstration of unity and grassroots mobilisation, the Senator Monday Okpebholo Solidarity Movement (SMOSM) convened a strategic meeting with its 12 Ward Coordinators in Oredo Local Government Area as part of preparations for the official inauguration of the movement scheduled for Monday, August 31, 2026.
The meeting was led by the State Coordinator of the movement, Comrade Okojie Dan, who headed a delegation to engage with the ward coordinators in a bid to strengthen the organisational structure of the movement and ensure seamless coordination ahead of the inauguration.
Addressing the gathering, Comrade Okojie Dan commended the dedication and commitment demonstrated by the coordinators, describing them as the backbone of the movement’s expanding grassroots network. He urged them to remain focused on the movement’s vision of promoting unity, grassroots participation, and sustained support for the administration of Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The interactive session also provided an opportunity to assess the level of preparedness across the 12 wards, review mobilisation strategies, and reinforce the collective resolve of members to deliver a successful inauguration.
In their separate remarks, the ward coordinators showered praises on Governor Okpebholo for what they described as his purposeful, visionary, and people-centred leadership. They applauded the administration’s commitment to good governance and its growing impact across Edo State through developmental initiatives and policies aimed at improving the lives of the people.
The coordinators unanimously reaffirmed their unwavering loyalty to Governor Okpebholo and the APC, pledging to continue mobilising support for the administration at the grassroots while advancing the objectives of the Senator Monday Okpebholo Solidarity Movement throughout Oredo Local Government Area.
They further declared their readiness for the official inauguration on Monday, August 31, 2026, expressing confidence that the event would mark the beginning of a stronger and more coordinated grassroots movement dedicated to supporting the governor’s developmental vision for Edo State.
The meeting concluded with a renewed sense of purpose and unity, as members pledged to intensify grassroots engagement and ensure the successful inauguration of the movement, while remaining steadfast in their commitment to advancing the vision and leadership of Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo across Edo State.
