Governor Monday Okpebholo has reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to creating a business-friendly environment that enables artisans, entrepreneurs, and small businesses to thrive, describing them as critical drivers of Edo State’s economic growth and development.
The Governor made this known while receiving members of the Edo State Welders Association at Government House, Benin City, where he reaffirmed his government’s resolve to implement policies and investments that support productivity, job creation, and sustainable economic expansion.
Governor Okpebholo noted that his administration is making strategic investments in critical sectors, including power, infrastructure, and security, to provide the foundation required for businesses and skilled professionals to flourish across the state.
He emphasized that reliable infrastructure, improved electricity supply, and enhanced security remain central to his administration’s vision of unlocking the full economic potential of Edo State, attracting investment, and creating opportunities for residents.
The Governor further stressed that artisans and skilled workers occupy a vital place in the state’s development agenda, assuring members of the association that his government will continue to pursue policies that promote enterprise, encourage innovation, and strengthen the capacity of local industries.
According to him, the prosperity of Edo State is closely tied to the success of its business community and skilled workforce, adding that his administration remains focused on building an inclusive economy that improves livelihoods and delivers lasting benefits to the people.
Governor Okpebholo called for sustained collaboration between government, professional associations, and the private sector, expressing confidence that through collective effort, Edo State will continue on the path of economic transformation under his administration’s SHINE Agenda.
