A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former member of the House of Representatives representing Esan Central/Esan West/Igueben Federal Constituency, Patrick Ikhariale, has expressed appreciation to party faithful and residents of Opoji Ward and the wider Esan Central area for their impressive participation in the party’s presidential primary election.
Rt. Hon. Ikhariale, while addressing supporters shortly after the exercise, thanked the people for turning out en masse to cast their votes in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and reaffirm their commitment to the continued leadership of the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He described the large turnout witnessed across the area as a clear demonstration of the people’s confidence in the leadership of President Tinubu and the Renewed Hope agenda, noting that the enthusiasm displayed by party members reflected growing support for the administration’s policies and programmes.
The former federal lawmaker also commended Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, for what he described as remarkable developmental strides across Edo State, particularly within Edo Central Senatorial District.
According to him, the visible progress recorded in critical sectors under the Okpebholo administration has restored public confidence in governance and further strengthened the bond between the government and the people.
Rt. Hon. Ikhariale stated that the governor’s approach to leadership, infrastructural development, and people-oriented governance played a significant role in motivating APC members and supporters to participate actively in the presidential primary exercise.
He noted that the growing trust in the administration has continued to energize party structures at the grassroots, while also reinforcing unity and political stability within the APC across Edo Central.
The APC chieftain urged party members to remain united and committed to the ideals of the party, stressing that sustained grassroots mobilization and collective support would remain crucial to the party’s future electoral successes.
He reaffirmed his commitment to the continued growth of the APC in Esanland and pledged to keep working with stakeholders and party leaders toward strengthening the party’s presence across the constituency and Edo State at large.
