The Omoarebu Ogbeide Foundation (TOOF®) has commended Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for approving the construction of key road projects aimed at improving infrastructure and connectivity in Owan West Local Government Area.
The Foundation’s Founder & Chairman, High Chief Godfrey Omoarebu Ogbeide, also praised the Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Blessing Agbebaku, for his commitment in aligning with the Governor to attracting development to the area. He described Agbebaku as “a worthy son of Owan” whose efforts have contributed to the governor’s intervention in road infrastructure.
According to the Foundation, the approved projects include the full construction of the road linking the Esan axis through Iruekpen, connecting Owan communities, extending through Iruekpen to Ozalla and Eme-ora, Eme axis before terminating in Auchi.
Another major project will connect the Iruekpen through Ozalla, Uhonmora, Sabo-gida Ora, Oke old straight to Ojavou. The Foundation noted that the affected roads have deteriorated over the years and require complete reconstruction rather than rehabilitation.
The governor also approved the construction of the Uzeba-Uruwe road, with a second phase extending the project from Uruwe to Otuo.
In addition, the road linking Avbiosi to Edimule, as well as Akpohu Road, has been included in the state’s infrastructure development plan.
High Chief Ogbeide expressed confidence in Governor Okpebholo’s commitment to completing the projects, describing the road network as critical to improving transportation, stimulating economic activities and enhancing the quality of life of residents across Owan West.
He urged the people of the area to continue supporting the present administration as it delivers on its SHINE Agenda.
