The founder of TOOF, Hon. Godfrey Omoarebu Ogbeide has led a grassroots mobilisation drive to encourage residents of Ward 1, Sabongida-Ora in Owan West Local Government Area, to participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The mobilisation followed the opening of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) registration portal for a three-day window, from Monday to Wednesday, aimed at providing eligible citizens an opportunity to complete their voter registration.
Ogbeide, during the exercise, urged residents who are yet to register to take advantage of the opportunity, stressing the importance of having a valid voter card as a means of participating in the democratic process and contributing to decisions that affect their communities.
He also encouraged young people and first-time voters to actively engage in the process, noting that voter registration remains a critical step towards ensuring effective representation.
The exercise, which attracted residents of Ward 1 in Sabongida-Ora, further highlighted Ogbeide’s commitment to grassroots engagement, civic awareness and encouraging greater participation in the electoral process ahead of the 2027 general elections.
