Leaders, executives, unit chairmen and stakeholders of Ward One, Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State, have unanimously passed a vote of implicit confidence on the Super Leader of the ward, Engr. Theophilus Okoh, reaffirming their loyalty and commitment to the leadership structure of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the ward.

The resolution was reached during a well-attended stakeholders’ meeting convened by party leaders and executives to review developments within the ward and strengthen party unity ahead of future political engagements.

Leading the gathering, the Acting Ward Chairman, Mr. Christopher Aitemoe, welcomed members and commended the leadership of the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for what he described as remarkable developmental strides and people-oriented governance across the state.

Aitemoe reiterated the ward’s unwavering support for Governor Okpebholo and the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stressing that APC members in Ward One remain committed to the growth and success of the party at all levels.

Speaking on recent developments within the ward, the Acting Chairman distanced the ward leadership from a meeting allegedly held by some individuals last week, describing it as unauthorized and not recognized by the duly constituted leadership of the party in Ward One.

According to him, the gathering lacked the approval and participation of the authentic ward leadership and therefore remains null, void, and of no consequence to the affairs of the APC in the ward.

Addressing the stakeholders, Mr. Ijie Eromon Ernest, a Local Government Area Executive of the party, charged the leaders to remain proactive and committed to their responsibilities, emphasizing that the younger generation is looking up to them for guidance, direction and exemplary leadership. He urged them to continue strengthening the party at the grassroots while maintaining unity and discipline in the collective interest of the APC.

Other speakers who addressed the gathering also admonished party leaders and members to remain steadfast, united and focused on the progress of the party, stressing the need for cooperation, loyalty and continuous engagement with the grassroots to sustain the APC’s dominance in the ward and beyond.

Following extensive deliberations, the leaders, executives and stakeholders, led by the Ward Leader, Hon. Stephen Akaehor, popularly known as Jomo, unanimously adopted a resolution expressing total confidence in Engr. Theophilus Okoh and other recognized leaders of the party. They praised Engr. Okoh for his leadership, commitment to party cohesion, accessibility and continuous efforts towards strengthening the APC structure in Ward One and Esan Central Local Government Area.

The stakeholders further emphasized that Ward One remains united, peaceful and focused on advancing the political objectives of the APC. They pledged their continued support for Governor Monday Okpebholo, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates in future elections.

The meeting concluded with a renewed call for unity, discipline and loyalty among party members, while urging all stakeholders to work collectively towards sustaining the party’s dominance and electoral success across Esan Central and Edo State.

Among those present at the meeting were party leaders including Hon. Akachar Stephen, Mr. Odion Onoga, Mr. Evans Oriaifo, Hon. Antkong Iselobhor, Mr. Abhulimen Christopher and Mrs. Comfort Edoror.
