Rt. Hon. Barrister Patrick Ikhariale, the foremost political leader of Opoji Ward 9 in Esan Central Local Government Area, has congratulated Sir Lucky Eseigbe Esq on his emphatic victory at the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primary election for Esan Central, Esan West and Igueben Federal Constituency held on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

Ikhariale described Eseigbe’s emergence as a well-deserved victory anchored on years of loyalty, dedication, political experience, and service to the people, noting that the overwhelming support he received across the constituency reflects the confidence party faithfuls have in his leadership capacity.

Speaking on the outcome of the primary election, Rt. Hon. Ikhariale recalled that Sir Lucky Eseigbe previously worked closely with him as a legislative aide, during which he demonstrated exceptional competence, administrative coordination, grassroots political understanding, and commitment to public service.

According to him, Eseigbe played a significant and instrumental role in the successes recorded during his time in office, stressing that his deep understanding of legislative processes and constituency engagement clearly positions him for effective representation at the National Assembly.

He further reiterated his confidence in Eseigbe’s ability to deliver quality representation, attract meaningful development, and effectively articulate the interests of the people of Esan Central, Esan West and Igueben Federal Constituency.

The Ward 9 APC leader also commended party members and supporters for their overwhelming support during the primary election, particularly in Opoji Ward 9 where Sir Lucky Eseigbe secured a commanding 205 votes against 2 votes recorded for Hon. Marcus Onobun.

Ikhariale noted that the massive margin recorded in Ward 9 was a clear indication of the acceptance, popularity, and political strength of the APC candidate within the grassroots.

He called on party faithfuls, leaders, youths, and stakeholders across the constituency to remain united and committed as the party prepares for the forthcoming general elections, emphasizing that collective support and unity would be critical in securing victory for the APC.

Political observers have continued to describe Sir Lucky Eseigbe’s victory at the APC primary as a major political statement within the constituency, with many supporters expressing optimism that his emergence signals a new phase of purposeful and responsive representation.
