Speaking with journalists on the sidelines of the event, Sir Lucky Eseigbe underscored the importance of standing with people not only in moments of celebration but also in times of grief.
“We are here today to identify with Barrister Festus Ehiemua and his family in this moment of loss. Life and death are constants of our human existence, but what truly endures is the legacy we leave behind. From all we have heard and witnessed, Mama lived a fulfilled and exemplary life—one rooted in love, service, and sacrifice,” he said.
He further described the late matriarch as a symbol of resilience and nurturing strength, noting that her life story serves as an inspiration to both present and future generations.
“This is not just a moment of mourning, but one of reflection and gratitude. A life well lived deserves to be celebrated, and Mama’s legacy will continue to resonate through her children, grandchildren, and the many lives she touched,” Eseigbe added.
Barr. Festus Ehiemua, visibly appreciative of the outpouring of support, thanked Sir Eseigbe and his delegation for their presence, describing it as a demonstration of genuine friendship and solidarity.
