Senator Joseph Igiagbe Ikpea, representing Edo Central Senatorial District, has expressed profound grief and extended his heartfelt condolences to the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, and the entire Idahosa family following the passing of their matriarch, Madam Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa (née Enabulele), at the age of 95.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Senator Ikpea described the loss of a mother as an immeasurable and deeply personal tragedy, noting that such a loss resonates at the very core of one’s existence. He, however, urged the bereaved family to find comfort in the remarkable and impactful life lived by the deceased.
The lawmaker paid glowing tribute to the late Madam Idahosa, describing her as a woman of exceptional grace, resilience, and unwavering maternal devotion. According to him, her enduring values and strength of character are evident in the lives and achievements of her children, particularly in their commitment to leadership and public service.
Senator Ikpea further emphasized that the late matriarch’s legacy will continue to inspire generations, having nurtured a family grounded in integrity, discipline, and service to humanity.
He offered prayers for the peaceful repose of her soul and called on Almighty God to grant Rt. Hon. Idahosa and the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
