The All Progressives Congress (APC) has firmly dismissed as false a widely circulated report claiming to detail the cost of its expression of interest and nomination forms for the 2027 general elections.
In an official statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party described the purported price list as “misleading” and lacking any basis in fact. The APC emphasized that no decision has been taken, nor any announcement made, regarding the pricing or sale of nomination forms for the 2027 electoral cycle.
“The report is entirely fake and did not emanate from the Party,” the statement read, underscoring that the information being circulated is a fabrication and a product of “mischievous imagination.”
The party cautioned members, media organizations, and the general public against relying on unverified information, urging them to disregard the report in its entirety. It reiterated its commitment to due process and transparent communication, noting that any official decisions concerning party primaries and nomination procedures would be formally communicated through authorized channels.
The APC’s rebuttal comes amid increasing political activity and early speculation surrounding the 2027 general elections, highlighting the growing challenge of misinformation in Nigeria’s political landscape
