In a powerful demonstration of unity, grassroots mobilisation, and political resolve, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Igueben Local Government Area have taken a decisive step by donating a fully equipped campaign secretariat to Sir (Dr) Lucky Eseigbe Esq, in support of his House of Representatives ambition and the party’s broader mobilisation efforts for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
The gesture, widely described as unprecedented in local legislative politics, goes beyond symbolic support. The donated secretariat is intended to serve as a strategic hub for grassroots engagement, voter mobilisation, and coordinated political activities across Igueben, reinforcing the APC’s preparedness for upcoming electoral contests.
Party leaders and stakeholders at the well-attended event described the move as a deliberate affirmation of trust in Sir (Dr) Eseigbe’s leadership, political experience, and enduring relationship with the people. Speakers emphasised that loyalty, consistency, and proven service to the grassroots must always be recognised and supported with concrete action.
Reflecting on his previous political engagements, stakeholders recalled Sir (Dr) Eseigbe’s strategic role during the tenures of Rt. Hon. Patrick Ikhariale and Rt. Hon. Joe Edionwele. According to them, Igueben Local Government benefited significantly during that period through increased visibility, inclusion in legislative interventions, and tangible developmental gains—achievements they attributed to his political dexterity, institutional knowledge, and people-centred approach to governance.
With these records in view, party leaders expressed confidence that his return to the National Assembly would usher in more effective representation, deeper advocacy for local interests, and sustained grassroots development.
Hon. Idialu Unuigbe, popularly known as Sonata, described the donation of a campaign secretariat as a rare and highly organised show of political commitment. He commended the people of Igueben for demonstrating political maturity, foresight, and unity in rallying behind a candidate they believe embodies purposeful leadership and continuity.
The event reached an emotional peak when Sir (Dr) Lucky Eseigbe, visibly moved by the overwhelming show of solidarity and acceptance, struggled to contain his emotions, nearly breaking into tears of joy as he addressed the gathering. He described the gesture as deeply humbling and historic, noting that such support strengthened his resolve to serve with renewed dedication.
In his response, Sir (Dr) Eseigbe expressed profound gratitude to the APC family and the people of Igueben for their confidence and sacrifice. He reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive governance, integrity, and tireless service, while pledging to work relentlessly for the advancement of Igueben, Esanland, and Nigeria at large. He also assured party faithful that the secretariat would play a central role in mobilising support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision and re-election project in 2027.
Political observers describe the development as a defining moment in Igueben’s political landscape—one that reflects growing grassroots trust in Sir (Dr) Lucky Eseigbe Esq and a shared determination to promote leadership rooted in experience, compassion, and measurable results.
