BENIN CITY — The Founder and Chairman of The Omoarebu Ogbeide Foundation (TOOF®), High Chief Godfrey Omoarebu Ogbeide, MBA, MSBA, the Aigbugbakheini I of Ozalla Kingdom, has felicitated with Muslim faithful across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-ul-Maulud, urging Nigerians to embrace the enduring virtues of peace, unity, compassion and selfless service.
In his goodwill message, High Chief Ogbeide described Eid-ul-Maulud as an important period of reflection on the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad, whose example, he said, continues to inspire values of kindness, patience, forgiveness, generosity and peaceful coexistence.
He called on Muslim faithful and Nigerians of all backgrounds to use the celebration to strengthen mutual respect, deepen understanding and promote harmony across religious, ethnic and social divides.
According to him, Nigeria’s strength lies in the ability of its people to rise above differences and work collectively toward the peace, stability and prosperity of the nation.
“At a time when our nation continues to confront social and economic challenges, we must remain united in purpose and guided by compassion, tolerance and a genuine commitment to the wellbeing of one another,” Ogbeide said.
He stressed that peace and national development require the active participation of both leaders and citizens, noting that every Nigerian has a role to play in building a more united, inclusive and prosperous society.
The TOOF® Chairman also called for greater attention to the less privileged, vulnerable and disadvantaged members of society, urging individuals, organisations and communities to extend meaningful support to those in need.
He noted that the true spirit of the celebration should be reflected not only in prayers and festivities, but also in acts of kindness, generosity and service to humanity.
High Chief Ogbeide further encouraged leaders at all levels to remain committed to initiatives that promote inclusion, economic opportunity, social justice and national cohesion.
He expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, maintaining that with unity of purpose, responsible leadership and the collective determination of the people, the country can continue on the path of peace, progress and sustainable development.
“Let this celebration remind us that our shared humanity is greater than the differences that may exist among us. We must continue to build bridges of friendship, understanding and cooperation for the good of our communities and our nation,” he added.
High Chief Ogbeide prayed for enduring peace, stability and prosperity across Nigeria and wished Muslim faithful a joyous, peaceful and spiritually fulfilling Eid-ul-Maulud celebration.
