A leading aspirant for the Edo State House of Assembly, Dr. Ernest Iyere Ahamioje, has reaffirmed his commitment to youth-centered governance and inclusive development following the successful hosting of a Youth Summit and the official flag-off of his political journey in Esan South East Local Government Area.

Addressing supporters and stakeholders after the event, Ahamioje described the summit as more than a ceremonial gathering, characterizing it as “a movement” that reflects the growing readiness of young people in the constituency to participate actively in leadership and decision-making processes.

“The energy, engagement, and clarity of purpose demonstrated by the youths signal a defining moment for Esan South East,” he said. “It is evident that they are prepared not only to be heard but to take responsibility for shaping their future.”

The aspirant emphasized that youth development would remain central to his legislative agenda if elected. According to him, his policy direction will focus on expanding access to opportunities, strengthening participation in governance, and creating structured pathways for leadership development among young people.

Ahamioje also extended appreciation to members of his campaign structure, singling out Prince Miracle Ogbebor, Chief Executive Officer of POMA Communication, for what he described as exemplary leadership and coordination in ensuring the success of the summit. He further commended ward leaders, youth coordinators, women leaders, and grassroots supporters for their collective efforts and commitment.

Beyond youth-focused initiatives, Ahamioje reiterated his intention to pursue a balanced approach to governance that recognizes the contributions and welfare of the older generation. He pledged continued support for elders in the community, noting their role as custodians of tradition and foundational contributors to societal development.

Security and community well-being also featured prominently in his remarks, as he stressed the importance of fostering a safe and stable environment across Esanland to enable sustainable growth and prosperity.

Observers note that the summit marks an early consolidation of grassroots momentum for Ahamioje’s aspiration, positioning his campaign within a broader narrative of generational inclusion and community-driven development.

“This is just the beginning,” he concluded, urging sustained unity and participation among constituents. “Together, we will shape a future that reflects our shared aspirations.”

The event ended on a high note with chants of solidarity and renewed calls for collective action, underscoring a campaign message anchored on youth empowerment, social inclusion, and progressive leadership.
