IGP Egbetokun Receives Newly Promoted Deputy Commissioners Following Completion of NIPSS Senior Executive Course

Abuja, Nigeria – January 7, 2026 – The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, today received nine Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) who recently concluded the prestigious Senior Executive Course (SEC 47/2025) at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos.

The executive program, which commenced in March 2025 and concluded on December 13, 2025, is designed to equip senior police officers with advanced strategic, policy, and leadership skills critical for modern policing and national security management.

During the formal visit to the IGP, the DCPs presented a comprehensive report of their coursework, highlighting key insights, policy recommendations, and strategies aimed at enhancing operational efficiency within the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

In his remarks, IGP Egbetokun congratulated the officers on their successful completion of the course, emphasizing the importance of translating their newly acquired knowledge into practical outcomes within the Force. He encouraged the DCPs to apply strategic thinking, policy insights, and innovative leadership approaches to strengthen policing effectiveness and public safety across the nation.

The SEC at NIPSS remains a cornerstone for preparing Nigeria’s senior security officers to meet complex governance and security challenges, reinforcing professionalism, accountability, and strategic leadership in public service.
