Hon. Roland Ekata, respected community leader, grassroots mobilizer, detribalized personality, and former Vice Chairman of Esan Central Local Government Council, has extended warm New Year greetings to the good people of Ward 9 Opoji, Esan Central Local Government Area, and Edo State at large, as they step into the New Year 2026 with renewed hope and optimism.

In his New Year message, Hon. Ekata described the dawn of 2026 as a season of gratitude, reflection, and collective renewal, urging the people to remain united, resilient, and committed to the shared values of peace, progress, and community development.

He poured out heartfelt prayers for leaders at all levels, asking God to grant them wisdom, humility, and the spirit of selfless service in steering the affairs of the people. He also prayed earnestly for elders, acknowledging their role as custodians of culture, wisdom, and moral guidance within society.

Hon. Ekata extended special blessings to the youths, whom he described as the backbone of the present and the promise of the future, praying for divine direction, discipline, opportunities, and protection as they pursue their dreams and contribute meaningfully to society.

He further prayed for the traditional rulers and kings, asking God to strengthen them with long life, good health, and the grace to continue promoting peace, unity, and cultural harmony across communities. He did not leave out parents and families, praying for love, stability, provision, and joy in every household throughout the year.

According to him, “2026 should be a year where unity triumphs over division, service over selfishness, and hope over despair. Together, we can build stronger communities and a more prosperous Edo State.”
