Okojie expands solar lighting project to five quarters in Ohordua

Residents of Uwokhen, Eguare, Ozen, Ibhiedu and Uriwa quarters in Ohordua, Ward 4, Esan South East Local Government Area of Edo State, have welcomed the installation of solar-powered street lights facilitated by the member representing Esan North East/Esan South East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Prince Henry Odianosen Okojie.

The project, executed under the “Hon. Okojie’s Operation Light Up Agbazilo Scheme,” is aimed at improving access to sustainable lighting, strengthening community security and supporting economic activities across the benefiting communities.

The intervention is expected to enhance visibility at night, improve public safety and create a more conducive environment for residents and businesses operating after dark.

Community members expressed appreciation for the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that reflects the benefits of democratic representation. They noted that the availability of solar-powered street lighting would encourage longer business hours, improve movement within the communities at night and contribute to a safer environment for residents.

Speaking on the project, Hon. Okojie thanked the people of Ohordua for their continued support and confidence in his representation. He said the installation of the solar lights forms part of his commitment to delivering impactful constituency projects that directly improve the quality of life of the people.

According to the lawmaker, access to reliable lighting is critical to community development, as it enhances security, promotes social interaction and stimulates economic activities. He added that the initiative aligns with his broader development agenda of providing people-oriented projects that address the needs of communities across the Esan North East/Esan South East Federal Constituency.

The latest intervention further expands the reach of the Operation Light Up Agbazilo Scheme, reinforcing ongoing efforts to provide sustainable infrastructure and improve living conditions in communities across the federal constituency.
