In a moment of honour, distinction, and recognition of exemplary service to humanity, faith, and professional excellence, Ewatto-born Sir (Chief) Hon. Dr. Kester Odijie Eguah, JP, KSJI, has been formally decorated with the prestigious 3rd Degree Full Dress Investiture of the Knights of Saint John International (KSJI) during the 56th Joint Grand Board of Trustees (JGBOT) Conference of the Benin Grand Commandery.

The historic investiture ceremony formed part of activities marking the 56th JGBOT Conference, which commenced on Friday, June 12, and will conclude on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Ikpoba Hill, Benin City.

Dr. Eguah, a renowned scholar, accomplished financial services professional, leadership strategist, and respected community figure, was among eight distinguished knights selected for the revered honour in recognition of their unwavering commitment to faith, service, integrity, and nation-building.

A man of remarkable accomplishments, Sir (Chief) Dr. Eguah holds doctorate degrees in Risk Management as well as Leadership and Financial Management. His impressive portfolio spans financial consulting, leadership development, public service, and literary contributions. A Justice of the Peace (JP), accomplished novelist, consultant, and recipient of the traditional title Õgbenbe (The Writer), he has consistently distinguished himself through intellectual excellence, ethical leadership, and dedication to societal advancement.

The investiture ceremony was conducted under the leadership of Brigadier General Christian Umogbai, Grand President of the Benin Grand Commandery, whose administration has continued to strengthen the ideals of charity, discipline, brotherhood, and Christian service within the Order.

The spiritual significance of the event was underscored by the presence of the officiating priest and Chaplain of the Benin Grand Commandery, Rev. Fr. Salami Yakubu, who led prayers and blessings during the solemn ceremony.
