UDOMI, EDO STATE — Residents of Udomi Community in Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State have expressed overwhelming appreciation to Governor Monday Okpebholo following the inspection of several ongoing developmental projects by the governor on Saturday.
The visit showcased the administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, healthcare expansion, education, tourism, and security enhancement across the state, with residents describing the projects as unprecedented in the history of their community.
Among the major projects inspected by Governor Okpebholo were the construction of a 150-bed Edo Specialist Hospital, students’ hostel accommodation, School of Nursing Sciences, Senate Building, and the Udomi Holiday Resort Centre, all of which are expected to significantly improve the socio-economic landscape of the area upon completion.
The governor’s arrival attracted large crowds of enthusiastic residents who gathered to welcome him and commend his administration for bringing tangible development to the community. Many offered prayers for his continued success and protection, citing the visible transformation taking place across Edo State under his leadership.
Speaking during the visit, Mrs. Theresa Ehimentafor described the projects as historic and transformative, noting that Udomi had never witnessed such a level of government intervention.
According to her, the community is proud of Governor Okpebholo’s achievements and remains grateful for the attention his administration has given to the area.
Similarly, Mr. Akhere Okosun highlighted the far-reaching impact of the governor’s developmental agenda, emphasizing that the community is experiencing unprecedented growth in healthcare, security, and tourism infrastructure.
He noted that residents are particularly excited about the emergence of a teaching hospital, the establishment of security facilities, and the development of the Udomi Holiday Resort Centre, all of which are expected to stimulate economic activities and create employment opportunities for local residents.
Also speaking, Ms. Omozusi Osolease said the transformation of Udomi under Governor Okpebholo’s administration has restored confidence and pride among residents.
She observed that the community, once neglected in terms of public infrastructure, is now witnessing remarkable progress through investments in healthcare, education, security, and human capital development. She further praised the administration for improving educational standards through the deployment of more teachers and creating opportunities for young people through employment initiatives.
Political observers and community leaders have described the projects as a reflection of Governor Okpebholo’s commitment to equitable development and inclusive governance, noting that the administration’s focus on critical sectors aligns with its broader vision of improving the quality of life for Edo people.
