The Senator representing Edo Central Senatorial District, Senator Joseph Ikpea, has reaffirmed his commitment to delivering purposeful, inclusive, and people-oriented representation for the district at the national level.
Senator Ikpea made this assurance during a courtesy visit by a delegation of youth leaders and representatives of professional bodies from Edo Central, who paid him a solidarity visit at his hometown, Ewatto, in Esan South East Local Government Area of Edo State.
Speaking during the visit, the senator expressed profound appreciation to the people of Edo Central for their continued support and confidence in his leadership. He assured them that their trust would not be taken for granted, stressing that his primary focus remains ensuring that Edo Central is adequately captured and fairly represented in all federal initiatives, policies, and developmental opportunities.
“My commitment is to ensure that Edo Central takes its rightful place in all federal activities and gains. I will continue to fight for the interests of our people and ensure that our voices are heard at the national level,” Senator Ikpea stated.
The senator also commended Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for his consistent guidance, counsel, and leadership, describing the governor’s support as a major source of inspiration in his legislative responsibilities.
Furthermore, Senator Ikpea assured the delegation of his resolve to roll out sustainable youth and women empowerment programmes in the coming months, noting that economic empowerment remains a critical tool for grassroots development and social stability across the district.
