Leading the delegation, the President of the Edo Central Senatorial District Artisan Association, Chief Lucky Ene, expressed appreciation for Senator Ikpea’s longstanding relationship with the association, describing him as a dependable patron whose commitment to the welfare of artisans has remained commendable over the years.

Chief Ene noted that while several empowerment initiatives had been implemented, many genuine artisans within the senatorial district had often been left out of the selection process. He appealed to the senator to ensure that future empowerment programmes are carried out in partnership with the association so that deserving artisans who genuinely require support would benefit.

The association also commended the developmental strides being recorded across Edo State under the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo, expressing confidence in the government’s commitment to improving the lives of the people.

Speaking during the visit, the Special Adviser to Senator Joseph Igiagbe Ikpea on Political Matters, ESV. Amb. Tony Okonigene, reaffirmed the senator’s unwavering commitment to grassroots development and inclusive empowerment. He described Senator Ikpea as a leader who understands the needs of the people and assured the delegation that the Artisan Association would henceforth be duly captured in empowerment programmes designed for artisans across Edo Central.

Responding, Senator Joseph Igiagbe Ikpea thanked the association for the courtesy visit and for the confidence reposed in his leadership. He reiterated his commitment to delivering impactful and transparent empowerment initiatives that would directly benefit deserving constituents.

The senator assured the artisans that their concerns had been noted and pledged that genuine members of the association would be given due consideration in future empowerment programmes. He also encouraged the association to remain united, transparent, and committed to promoting professionalism among its members.

Senator Ikpea further urged the artisans to continue supporting the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo, noting that sustained collaboration between government and organised professional groups remains essential for accelerating development and improving livelihoods across Edo Central Senatorial District.
