ISTH Strengthens Public Relations with Appointment of Kenneth Aigbokhan as Publicity Unit Head

Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital (ISTH), Irrua, Edo State, has strengthened its strategic communication structure with the appointment of accomplished public relations and media communications professional, Mr. Kenneth Aigbokhan, as the new Head of its Publicity Unit.

The appointment was conveyed in a letter dated July 14, 2026, signed by the Director of Administration, Mrs. Edna Inegbedion (Esq.), on behalf of the Chief Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Reuben Agbons Eifediyi.

As part of the transition, the management expressed appreciation to the immediate past Head of the Publicity Unit, Mr. Jeff Uwaifo Aigbokhan, for his dedication, professionalism, and invaluable contributions to the growth and development of the department during his tenure.

Aigbokhan assumes the position with an impressive record in public administration, institutional communication, media relations, and organizational management. A graduate of Public Administration from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, he has built a reputation for excellence through years of committed service and active involvement in several key initiatives within the hospital.

Throughout his career at ISTH, he has served in various capacities, including Chairman of Media 2025, Secretary of the Children Christian Party, Secretary of the ISTH End-of-Year Christmas Party Committee, as well as a member of the Bishop Matthew Okpebholo Geriatric Care and Research Centre Committee and the ISTH Sports Committee. His contributions across these responsibilities have reflected his commitment to institutional development, teamwork, and effective communication.

Beyond the hospital, Aigbokhan has distinguished himself in the media and creative industry as the Executive Producer of Sir Kay TV, a platform dedicated to storytelling, public enlightenment, and film production. As a filmmaker, screenwriter, and producer, he has contributed to several Nollywood productions that promote ethical leadership, family values, social responsibility, and community development.

He is also a member of the Institute of Health Service Administrators of Nigeria (IHSAN), the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), and the Nigerian Red Cross Society, underscoring his dedication to continuous professional development and public service. A Knight of St. Christopher (KSC), Aigbokhan is married and blessed with children.

His appointment is expected to further strengthen ISTH’s public relations and information management framework, bringing fresh perspectives and strategic leadership to the hospital’s communication efforts while enhancing stakeholder engagement and reinforcing the institution’s reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading tertiary healthcare facilities.
