ESAN CENTRAL, EDO STATE – June 1, 2026
Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward One, Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State, on Sunday, May 31, held a general meeting during which they unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, and reaffirmed their support for the party’s candidates at various levels.

The meeting was coordinated and supervised by the Ward One Super Leader, Engr. Theophilus Okoh, and attended by the Ward Leader, Mr. Stephen Akaehor, all Ward One leaders, the 26 members of the Ward Executive Committee, and other party stakeholders.
During the meeting, APC members expressed their confidence in the leadership of Governor Monday Okpebholo and commended his commitment to the growth of the party and the development of Edo State. Consequently, the congress of APC members in Ward One unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the Governor.
The meeting also reaffirmed the outcomes of the party primaries and endorsed the candidates that emerged from the process. Members reaffirmed their support for Dr. Lucky Eseigbe as the APC candidate for the House of Representatives, Mr. Sunday Ifada as the party’s candidate for the Edo State House of Assembly, and Senator Joseph Ikpea as the APC candidate for the Senate.
In the same spirit, the gathering reaffirmed its support for the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, pledging continued loyalty to the party and its leadership at the national level.
Furthermore, members unanimously endorsed the pledge made by Governor Monday Okpebholo to deliver 2.5 million votes from Edo State for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The APC family in Ward One assured the Governor of its commitment to grassroots mobilization and collective efforts towards achieving that objective.
The meeting reflected the unity, solidarity, and determination of APC members in Ward One to work together for the continued success of the party and its candidates.
The resolutions reached at the meeting were jointly endorsed by Engr. Theophilus Okoh, Super Leader of Ward One; Mr. Stephen Akaehor, Ward Leader; the 26 members of the APC Ward One Executive Committee; nine other Ward One leaders; and former PDP members who recently defected to the APC.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to party unity, grassroots engagement, and sustained support for the APC leadership and candidates at the state and national levels.
