Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on Wednesday conducted an on-site inspection of the Ikpoba Hill Flyover located at Ramat Park in Benin City, accompanied by renowned broadcast journalist Seun Okinbaloye of Channels Television.
The inspection formed part of the administration’s continued efforts to highlight critical infrastructure projects across the state. The visit featured a detailed walk-through of the construction site, allowing for a first-hand assessment of the level of work completed and the pace of ongoing development.
The governor’s presence at the project site attracted widespread attention from residents, traders, and commuters in the area. Many expressed visible enthusiasm, acknowledging the progress recorded on the flyover project and its anticipated impact on daily transportation and economic activity within the metropolis.
The Ikpoba Hill Flyover, now reported to be over 90 percent completed, is considered a strategic intervention aimed at decongesting traffic and enhancing connectivity across key parts of Benin City. Upon completion, it is expected to significantly improve traffic flow around the busy Ramat Park axis.
Speaking on the development, Dr. Patrick Akhere Ebojele, PhD, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, noted that the inspection underscores Governor Okpebholo’s commitment to delivering impactful infrastructure that directly benefits residents of the state.
The presence of a leading national media figure during the inspection further reflects the government’s openness in showcasing its developmental strides and providing visibility to projects of public importance.
The Edo State Government has reiterated its resolve to ensure the timely completion of the flyover, in line with its broader agenda of sustainable urban development and improved public infrastructure.
