The Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Late Augustus Akhabue Akhomu Foundation (LAAAF), Leemon Agbonjagwe Ikpea, has, on behalf of the Board, extended warm felicitations to an eminent member of the Foundation and revered elder statesman, Adams Okoene, on the occasion of his 80th birthday anniversary.
In a goodwill message personally signed by the Chairman and made available to journalists through the Foundation’s Secretary, Amb. ESV Tony Okonigene, Chief Ikpea described Engr. Okoene as “an exceptional son of Esanland whose life has been defined by integrity, professional excellence, and selfless service to humanity.”
He noted that attaining the milestone of 80 years is not only a testament to divine grace but also a celebration of a life richly spent in impactful contributions to community development, mentorship, and nation-building. According to him, Engr. Okoene’s enduring commitment to the ideals of the Foundation and his invaluable counsel within the Board of Trustees have continued to inspire collective progress and institutional stability.
“Engr. Adams Okoene stands tall as a symbol of diligence, wisdom, and unwavering dedication. His legacy within the engineering profession and his contributions to societal advancement remain indelible. As a Board, we are immensely proud to be associated with his remarkable journey,” Chief Ikpea stated.
The Chairman further lauded the octogenarian for his humility, discipline, and steadfast devotion to the upliftment of Esan people and beyond, emphasizing that his life exemplifies the virtues of purposeful leadership and enduring service.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, Chief Ikpea prayed for continued good health, renewed strength, and many more years of fulfillment for Engr. Okoene, expressing confidence that his wealth of experience will remain a guiding light for future generations.
