The Renewed Hope For Greater Nigeria (RHGN), Edo State Chapter, has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, while also passing a strong vote of confidence on the administration of Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo.
The endorsement was disclosed by the Edo State Coordinator of the forum, Fidelis Odiase, during a high-level political engagement with journalists in Lagos State. He emphasized that the forum’s position is rooted in a growing belief that the current federal and state leadership structures are delivering measurable progress in governance, economic reforms, and citizen engagement.
According to Odiase, the Renewed Hope initiative under President Tinubu has begun to reflect in strategic policy directions aimed at stabilizing the economy, strengthening institutional frameworks, and attracting both local and foreign investments. He noted that key reforms in fiscal policy, infrastructure development, and social investment programmes are gradually restoring confidence in Nigeria’s long-term economic outlook.
At the state level, the forum expressed satisfaction with the leadership style and developmental strides of Governor Okpebholo, describing his administration as focused, people-oriented, and responsive to the needs of Edo residents. The group highlighted ongoing efforts in infrastructural rehabilitation, improved public service delivery, youth empowerment initiatives, and renewed attention to security coordination across the state.
The forum further commended the governor’s approach to governance, particularly his emphasis on inclusivity, grassroots engagement, and continuity of policies that promote sustainable development. It stressed that these efforts are contributing to rebuilding trust between the government and the people, while also laying a foundation for long-term socio-economic stability in Edo State.
Speaking through its spokesperson, Kingsley Ohens, the forum reiterated its collective stance, noting that both the federal and Edo State administrations have demonstrated alignment with the aspirations of citizens seeking progress, accountability, and effective leadership.
The group urged stakeholders across political, economic, and civil society sectors to support ongoing reforms and consolidate gains already recorded under the current administrations. It maintained that sustained collaboration between government and the governed remains critical to achieving national development goals and strengthening democratic institutions.
In conclusion, the Renewed Hope For Greater Nigeria Edo State Chapter affirmed that its endorsement is not merely political but driven by observed performance, policy direction, and a shared vision for a more prosperous and stable Nigeria.
