Youth Speak Out at Inaugural VOICE Talk Show

The VOICE Talk Show debuted on October 1st, uniting young Nigerians virtually from 7:10 PM to 7:40 PM on Zoom to discuss social change, youth advocacy, and leadership. The event launched a platform to encourage the active participation of youth in social discourse, promoting justice and societal improvement.

Broadcasting live from Port Harcourt, Joyce Daniels, renowned youth coach and broadcaster, delivered the Keynote Speech, encouraging young people to use their voices for meaningful impact. Daniels commended the founders of VOICE for fostering youth participation and said, “Empowering youth voices is the key to a better Nigeria.”

Miss Rafah Musa from Warri, Delta State, an English teacher and youth coach, spoke on youth engagement, urging young Nigerians to acquire life skills and vocations to complement their formal education. Miss Providence Agbabhon, a nurse from Benin City, added to the discourse, calling on the youth to “make their voices heard” in the drive for change.

The event was well-attended by prominent figures, including Mr. Andy Egbon, Edo State Secretary of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, and Mr. Bright Paul from the University of Benin’s Sociology Department. Technical support was provided by GIVITEC LTD to ensure a smooth-running program.

The show was ably anchored by Mr. Gbenga, an NYSC member serving in Benin.

Founder and Director General Saintmoses Eromosele, a prolific author and rights activist, highlighted that VOICE aims to empower young Nigerians by creating a platform that raises their concerns and gives them a chance to shape society actively.

The next VOICE Talk Show is scheduled as a physical event at the University of Benin in November, with plans for monthly sessions on campuses nationwide, continuing the drive for youth-led social change.
