YOUTH ENGAGEMENT, WOMEN INCLUSIVITY AND GRASSROOT SPORTS DEVELOPMENT TOPS MY AGENDA – HON. KINGSLEY IJEBOR
The Labour Party Esan central local government chairmanship candidate in the forthcoming local government election in Edo state, Comrade Kingsley Ijebor has once again reiterated his commitment to bring quality governance through youth engagement, women empowerment and grassroot sports development.
Comrade Kingsley Ijebor made this known while fielding questions from women and some progressive youths of Esan central during an in-house Media parley at his residence in Ewu, Esan Central LGA days ago. He affirmed that a serious government must pay a very critical attention to inclusion of the youths in it’s plans, because they are the tripod upon which a productive society can be built. In his words, Comrade Kingsley Ijebor said ” as far as my topmost agenda is concerned, engagement of the youths through different empowerment programs, education supportive initiative, career supports, financial literacy coaching, job placement, appointment and reorientation have been well mapped out. We will ensure we run a youth friendly representation “.
Comrade Kingsley Ijebor further emphasized his genuine plans to actively include the women fold in his commerce and cooperative initiatives when elected. He maintained his desire to introduce a special fund to serve as a non-interests loan which will be rationally utilized among market women, small and medium scale traders among several others.
In a bid to further explore the amazing opportunities in Esan Central Local Government, Comrade Kingsley Ijebor also hinted his age long desire to use his good office when elected to support a complete revamping of the grassroot sports, by creating a synergy with the grassroot sports development coaches and other stakeholders in the area of sports to x-ray the notable challenges confronting the sector and introduce a working template aimed at bringing back grassroot football and other sporting activities. ” I know for a fact that the youth populace still cherish sports as it has always been a rallying point for them. I will key into sponsorship of football tournaments of different age groups across the local government so as to identify young and fresh talents, then nurture them to grow and develop into global heroes.
Comrade Kingsley Ijebor of the Labour Party, is a man with burning passion and desire to redefine representation through workable initiatives. His track records of youths and women engagement & employment are strong testaments to his capacity to deliver on his promises.
Esan Central Local Government is about to make a wise decision by sending him to the council, come September 2, 2023 by the special grace of God Almighty.
