WORLD TEACHERS DAY; EDO STATE PDP HAILS TEACHERS
… says in Edo state, the teacher’s reward is here on earth
The Edo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has joined all well meaning people of the world, to appreciate teachers on this day set aside by the United Nations as World Teachers Day. The party noted that in Edo State, under the Obaseki’s led administration, teachers are being given their dues thereby ensuring that the reward of the teacher is gotten here on earth and not in heaven as was popularly believed.
In a congratulatory message made in Benin on Thursday to all teachers in Edo State, the PDP State chairman, Rt. Hon. Dr. Tony Aziegbemi said; “I want to on behalf of our great party, the PDP in Edo State, join the rest of the world in appreciating our teachers. Today is a day that we must find time to say or do something to appreciate those who took most of us through the early years of our educational pursuits.
” Special mention must be made of the improvements in the welfare of the teachers by the Edo State government under Governor Godwin Obaseki. We as a party, will always support any government that puts the welfare of our teachers in its priority list. This is what the PDP led administration in Edo State, under the leadership of Governor Godwin Obaseki has done. Today, in Edo State, the teacher’s reward is right here on earth and not in heaven.
