The intention of Esan politicians holding political offices to run for the governorship of Edo State and in case of Akpakomiza former speaker who are barely six months in the Senate and House of Representatives is an attestation to their chauvinistic political tendencies.
In the peculiar case of Akpakomiza, this is a political neophyte that was retrieved from political oblivion and had the Senate thrown on his lap due to the political greed of certain politicians in the PDP who forgot how they got to the Senate and House of Representatives in the first place and instead of respecting the political philosophy that saw them climbed the ladder will rather choose to throw away the baby and the bath water.
All politicians of conscience in Esan Land should call Senator Monday Okpebholo and the likes of him to order, who suffers from the delusion that political representation in Esan Land is their exclusive right.
They should stop insulting the sensibilities of Esan people. They cannot be carrying a political hippopotamus on their heads and still want to carry a political elephant on their shoulders, they will chock and suffer political stroke.
Esan people in particular and Edo State in general are not political dummies they can manipulate and take for a granted. If he cannot appreciate the favour that was done them by electing them into the Senate and House of Representatives but now wants to use the previledged position they were given to undermine the unity, peace, cohesion fairness justice, equity and good conscience of Esan Land, Esan people will wait for them to come back in 2027 to seek re-election to the Senate and House of Representatives.
