Vocational centre graduates 1,000 students
Chairman of Badagry-West Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State, Olusegun Onilude, has said over 1,000 students of Badagry Vocational Training and Skill Acquisition programme have graduated.
He spoke at the 20th graduation and matriculation of more than 300 students of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) Vocational Training Centre in Badagry, organised by Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) department of the council.
The chairman said his administration ensured graduation and matriculation took place in 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Council Supervisor of WAPA, Risikat Padonu-Hassan, said the centre offered training in eight departments – Computer Studies, Catering & Event Management, Fashion Design, Barbing, Hairdressing, Makeup & Gele, Bag Making and Craft .
Vice Principal and Instructor in Computer Department, Mercy Iroegbu, urged them to see their graduation as a stepping stone.
Seseyon Bello, a graduating student from Catering Department, advised youths to face their career, to achieve greatness.
