Ahead of the 2025 Edo Central Senatorial District by-elections, some stakeholders and leaders of thought in Edo central senatorial district have zeroed in on Hon. Joseph Ikpea, to represent the senatorial district in the Senate.
Hon. Joseph Ikpea, who is a leading contender for the Senatorial position, has been having a flurry of endorsements and backings from the leaders and stakeholders both of the party and other leaders of thought in Esanland since he declared his ambition for the position.
At the weekend, All Progressives Congress (APC) youth leaders led the Edo central APC leader, Comrade Amos Cole, paid a visit to Hon. Joseph Ikpea, assuring him that the Edo Central youths are fully with him.
While stressing that the former council boss possesses the requisite experience and commitment to represent the senatorial district in the Senate and drive home the needed development.
The endorsement statement reads; “Today, let it be watershed in Esanland that a man who understands the pain of the widows, the youths and Edo Central Senatorial District at large, is ready to take the mantle of leadership and transformation in Edo Central Senatorial District.
“We are here today with our support, total support, strength, commitment, and we hereby declare and endorse Hon. Joseph Ikpea as our sole candidate for Edo Central Senatorial District “.
Speaking to newsmen after the endorsement, one of the APC youth leaders Mr. Jerry Brown Omoieke, said Hon. Ikpea is a man of great ideals who has the capacity to drive home the dividend of democracy as a senator.
He called on other aspirants, youth leaders, party faithfuls and the people of Edo Central Senatorial District to queue behind Hon. Joseph Ikpea.
