Leading the debate Today, Tuesday 15th October at the Green chambers, on the general principles of the amendment bill, the Member Representing Esan Central, Esan West and Igueben Federal Constituency of Edo state, Rt Hon Marcus Onobun ksc aptly elucidated the need to provide clarity on the percentage of operating surplus remitted to the Consolidated Revenue Fund by corporations and government own corporate bodies.
According to Immediate past Speaker Edo state house of Assembly, the Bill also proposes appropriate sanctions on Chief Executives of those government corporations who fail to remit the operating surplus due to be remitted to the Consolidated Revenue Funds.
