The president, Olushola Oyeyemi, who made this known, yesterday, said Brothers Across Nigeria (defunct) and Brothers Across Nigeria (BAN) International are distinctly different organisations.

It advised Onowu to cease and desist from further parading himself as the Grand Eye of the Buccaneers Confraternity. He said: “We, the registered trustees of the Buccaneers Confraternity, an association registered in the UK, wish to draw the attention of the public, corporate organisations and financial institutions to a mischievous and erroneous publication on January 19, 2024.
“In the said publication, widely circulated in print and electronic forms online as well as on social media, a certain Azubuike Onowu was reported to have claimed to be the Global President of BAN and the Grand Eye of the Buccaneers Confraternity.
