STILL IN THE RACE: ENGR GIDEON IKHINE
The rumour mills in the last two to three weeks has brimmed and bristled with phantom selection and pruning process in the APC.
First it was rumoured that all Aspirants of Esan extraction in Edo Central submitted to a pruning and alignment process. Then another story flew. This time, the selection and pruning exercise took place of all APC Aspirants in Abuja. And that some front liners were asked to step down.
In a Political season such as we are, we must expect some demarketing gimmicks and this is but one more scenario.
When a Media crew confronted Engr Gideon Ikhine to ascertain the veracity of such exercises either in Esan Land or in Abuja, the APC hopeful, simply debunked such rumours making the rounds and being peddled. “I am still in the race. Discard such tales,” he concluded.
Given the personality of Engr Gideon Ikhine and the seriousness of his campaign preparations, we have no reason to doubt him.
