Rt. Hon. Marcus I. Onobun Presents Cash and Empowerment Items to Constituents.
Esan West Council Secretariat was filled with exuberating crowd of members and leaders of the PDP in Esan Central, Esan West and Igueben Federal Constituency, to show love and support to Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun as he gives out empowerment Items and cash to Constituents, to climax series of events, put in place to celebrate his one year anniversary in the House of Representatives.
Hon. Marcus in his opening remark, thanked the people of his Constituency for their support and solidarity during the election that took him to the National Assembly. He took time to highlight some of his achievements since assumption of Office.
Speaking further, he appreciated the Governor of Edo State, Nogheghase Godwin Obaseki for not abandoning him during his trying period. He admonished Edo people to see the Governor as a good man, who is genuinely committed to the development of Edo state
A total of 100 persons who participated in the Fashion design training organised by the Member, were given a sewing machine and the sum of Hundred Thousand Naira each. Similarly, a total of fifty motor cycles were given out as means of transportation to Farmers.
The member further avowed to his people that there is a Poultry training and empowerment program to be organized later in the year, which will capture more constituents. According to him, infrastructure projects to expect in this 2024 fiscal year will include; Solar powered Bore Holes across the Constituency, over 500 units of Solar powered Street lights and construction of blocks of class rooms in different Primary Schools in the three LGAs of his Constituency.
Also, He encouraged members and leaders to continue to work for the success and victory of the party’s candidate Dr. Asue Ighodalo, come September 21st, 2024 Governorship Election.
Different leaders at the event, took turns to eulogize the Member for his outstanding performance since he resumed office a year ago at the National Assembly.
Those present at the event are, the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Edo state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Agbebaku and Rt. Hon. Marie Edeko, Esan West LGA Chairman, Hon. Collins Aigbogu, Special adviser to the Executive Governor of Edo State, Mrs. Philomena Ihenyen, Former National Woman leader of the party, Mrs.Herbeta Okonofua, Councilors, SSAs, SAs, past and present political office holders across the local government councils.
