Right Foundation of Life Intl Sch Holds Career Day in Edo.

In line with the Edo state government developmental goal of making Edo state great again, MEGA, agenda, and raising the standard of education to a world class standard, a private nursery, primary and secondary school based in Benin city, Right Foundation of Life International School has on Saturday organized an academic ceremony tagged: Career Day, where pupils and students displayed in practical what it takes to have a profession.
The colorful event which was organized at the school educational center located just after CPM camp ground along Egba road, by Benin-Auchi expressway, in Uhunmwonde LGA of the state, had in full attendance, parents, guardians, educationist and other guests from far and near, as the children put up beautiful display of various career ranging from vocation, medicine, agriculture, law, engineering, military and others.
The director of the school, Mr. Austin Peters, disclosed in his welcome address disclosed that the career day is a very special day to the institution because they want to catch the children young by trying to educate them and inform them on what it takes to have a career which he said it’s very important in one’s life, in order to make progress.
According to him; “There are some training and learning you have to do in order to become somebody. So today, we are going to display it practically for everybody to see what it takes to have a profession. And when you are talking about a career, we are talking about undertaking an assignment that can help you in life and what is that assignment, it’s a job assignment on something that has to keep you going. Not just becoming a professional, there are something important you have to know before you become that person. Number one is, Passion.
The director added; “These are children coming up, there is a need for us to advise them, train them and nurture them in the right direction, so that they can become somebody in life. And today, is that special day. From time to time we shall be doing this to put them in the right course. He added.
Also speaking a parent and one of the special guests invited to give a talk on the law profession, Momodu A.A, Esq, urged parents to watch the company their children keep in order to fulfill their chosen career and destiny in life. He disclosed that lawyers have to be public spirited, have to have empathy, sympathetic with people and go to court as an officer in the temple of justice, and even when people want to go the wrong way the lawyer should be able to correct them.
Speaking further on the law profession, he said, ” You have to be studious and determined. It’s a good profession that distinguish you from other persons in a group. So I want to urge parents they should encourage children to go into it. I’m so impressed with the performance of the various groups that came up this afternoon, in fact they can compete anywhere in the world. I just pray that God grant and empower them to pursue this quality of dreams they want to be. He added.
