RESOLUTIONS PASSED AT THE 9th MEETING OF THE EDO STATE PDP STATE WORKING COMMITTEE (SWC) HELD ON SUNDAY 8th OCTOBER, 2023 AT THE PDP SECRETARIAT, BENIN
The meeting was convened at the instance of the State chairman of the party, Dr, Tony Aziegbemi in accordance with section 21(3) of the constitution of PDP 2017 ( as amended)
In attendance were
1. Dr Tony Aziegbemi – State chairman
2. Archbishop Anthony Okosun – State Vice Chairman, Central
3. Barr. Arthur Esene – State Legal Adviser
4. ESV Fidel Igenegbale- State Financial Secretary
5. Samuel Saiki – State Vice Chairman, North

After confirming that a quorum had been formed in line with section 21(5) of the constitution of the PDP 2017 ( as amended), the chairman called the meeting to order.
The SWC deliberated on a number of issues concerning the party in the state and came out with the following resolutions:
1. The SWC welcomed the timetable of activities leading to the 2024 Edo Governorship Elections as released by INEC. It advised potential PDP aspirants to conduct their campaigns according to the rules without rancor.
2. The SWC barred all party officers from leading any aspirant in the campaigns to woo delegates. It called upon all concerned, especially the aspirants to be guided by this directive
3. The SWC assured aspirants that it will provide a level playing field for all
4. The SWC noted that the 7 absentee members did not attend the meeting. It further called on them to attend the next meeting
5. The SWC congratulated the newly sworn in Senior Special Assistants ( SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) to HE, Governor Godwin Obaseki. It urged them to key into the agenda of the Governor Obaseki’s PDP led administration to finish strong by carrying out their duties with all sense of patriotism and diligence
6. The meeting was adjourned to Wednesday October 11th, 2023 at the PDP Secretariat 59, Airport Road, Benin City
