The headquarters of the Esan West Local Government Area was spirited with radiant assembly of top uniformed commandants of regional and the Edo State Red Cross Society of Nigeria to statutorily install the executive chairman of Esan West Local Government Council, Hon. Collins Aigbogun as state patron of the body on 12th July 2024.
The epochal event was remarkably significant to the body in view of her local, national and global recognition on humanitarian services which are exercised through voluntary efforts and partnership of individuals and other state/international organizations and agencies.
Speaking on behalf of the state leadership of the organization, the state secretary elaborated on the goal and objectives of the Red Cross Society, operational mandates and values which centres on healthcare, hazards management while applauding the efforts of the chairman which haven’t gone unnoticed to reposition the local government through programmes and projects that centers on fixing social essentials for a better and healthy wellbeing of citizens and residents.
He further hinted that the visit coincides with the state camp meeting in the local government to train,orient and carry out community outreach activities
The Chairman, Hon. Collins who got quickly acquainted with the body than expected, welcomed the delegation to the local government area. He assured them of all the necessary support they needed to ensure a successful camping which he stated were already in place. He further expressed his appreciation for the honour bestowed on him by his investiture as patron to the noble body which isn’t dissimilar from his passion and commitment in administration.
High point was the decoration of the council chairman by the commandants, presentation of certificate and later inspection of quatre guard officers at the divisional headquarters of Esan West
