It was celebration mood, dancing, prayers and singing yesterday 12th of may as history was made in Uwessan. A Philanthropist Mr. G. Okoduwa a proud Son of Uwessan disbursed a #40,000 each package to over 500 Uwessan women farmers and market women.
In a Statement released in Irrua by the Planning Committee jointly Signed by Hon. Felix Ibhade Chairman and Hon. Henshaw Oligbi Secretary states that the empowerment package is geared towards enhancing the local economy of our women in Uwessan, it is a tip of an eyes berge in series of plans to transform our community and empower our people. Uwessan Sons and daughters home and abroad have resolved to be united in progress and development of Uwessan, we are proud of what our brothers are doing and we will continue to support them and pray for them.
Mrs Oseghale who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, after singing songs of joy, praises to God poured encomium on the Sponsor and the planning Committee, she immediately called for a joint prayer section by all the women for Mr. Godwin Okoduwa.
The climax of presentation was the Uwessan Elders joint prayers for Mr. Godwin Okoduwa and all other Uwessan Sons and Daughters. The elders call on all Uwessan indigene world wide to cultivate the culture of supporting their fellow Uwessan brothers and Sisters any where in any venture as demonstrated by Mr. Godwin Okoduwa and other Uwessan eminent Sons.
