BeeTV News First year Anniversary & Public lecture has been held in a grand style. The Colourful event which held at SIO event centre on Ikpokpan Road in Benin City saw several notable personalities, including the Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, Deputy Governor, RT. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice, Dr. Samson Osagie, The National Vice Chairman South South of the People’s Democratic Party, and also father of the day, Chief Dan Osih Orbih, Chairman of the occasion, Senator Mathew Urhoghide, Executive Director, Strategy & Commercial, Niger Delta Power Holding Company and host of the event, Hon. Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama attended the event.
It was a special moment for the Managing Director and CEO of BeeTv News, Best Orator and the entire staff of BeeTv News, as they celebrated their first- year anniversary and public lecture.
In a remarks, the special guest of honour and the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo commended the Managing Director of BeeTv News Best Orator, for her outstanding accomplishments in Journalism and her efforts in contributing to the development of the state through her news platform.
In his speech, the Chairman of the occasion Senator Mathew Urhoghide commended BeeTv News for their remarkable achievements within one year of operation. He applauded the team for delivering accurate and high quality news to the public.
The Father of the day and National Vice Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Chief Dan Orbih praised the milestone achievements of BeeTv News, stating that the achievements is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Managing Director Best Orator, as he encouraged her not to relent in her efforts, but continue to strive for excellence.
In a public lecture with the theme: the role of the media and law in shaping Nigeria’s future. the guest speaker, Vice Chancellor University of Benin, Prof Edoba Bright Omoregie, SAN, ably represented by the Director of Legal Services, University of Benin, Professor Anthony Ewere, emphasised how the media is essential in promoting transparency, acountability and good governance. while also providing a platform for citizens to be informed and express their opinions and engage in public discourse as he streesed the Importance of law in enabling and protecting the right of the media to perform their role in the society.
A pannel discussion, moderated by the Managing Director of BeeTv News, Best Orator, and the panelists, Mr. Nifemi Ogutoye, a Media Pratictioner and lead Anchor of TVC Lagos, Barrister Nosa Adams, Legal Pratictioner and former Chairman Egor local government council, Dr. Osagie Obayuwana, former Attorney General and commissioner for Justice, Edo State, and Prof Ezekiel Shegun Asemah, Vice Chancellor, Glorious Vision University, Edo State (represented) respectively addressed the issue on the topic Nigeria’s Lack of Progress.
Some guests, while congratulating BeeTv News on its first-year anniversary commended the station’s outstanding contribution to the media landscape within a remarkable period of one year, and also for commitment in delivering high-quality, unbiased news reportage, as they wished the station success, growth, and excellence in its future endeavors, expressing their optimism that BeeTv News will remain a beacon of journalistic integrity and a trusted voice in Nigerian media.
In a closing remarks, the Managing Director of BeeTv News Best Orator appreciated guests who took time to attend the event and celebrate the station’s first-year anniversary. She expressed profound gratitude to the Executive governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, his Deputy, Rt Hon Dennis Idahosa and others for gracing the ceremony.

Highpoint of the event was the cutting of BeeTv News first-year anniversary cake and a captivating cultural performance by students of Theatre Arts University of Benin.
