PDP launches governorship campaign council in Edo

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo state, on Friday in Benin City, inaugurated the Governorship Campaign Council with a charge to drive the party to victory in the September 21, 2024 governorship election.
The campaign, comprising over 363 members, was inaugurated by Edo state governor, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki (the council’s chair).
The governor explained that the task before the members was to ensure a resounding victory for the party come September 21, 2024.
The governor thanked all leaders for their total commitment and unweaving support toward the successes recorded by his administration and charged the leaders to work for the success of the coming guber election in the state. He went further “The campaign will be based on our achievements. About the future and not the past and to give hope to Edo people. The party has the best candidate, best leaders, best programs.”
The Director Generation of the Campaign Council, Hon. Matthew Iduoriyekemwen appreciates the governor and the party leaders for the opportunity given to him to serve. “It is an opportunity given to me to serve in this capacity. Edo State has always felt better under PDP administration than any other administration. We can see the infrastructures and other developmental strides being put in place by Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, so we have a good story for Edo people during our campaign.”
A Chieftain of the PDP in Edo State and former Senator Edo Central Senatorial District, Sen. Clifford Ordia, appreciated leaders from Edo North and South respectively for seeding the gubernatorial ticket to Edo Centra senatorial district and promised they will never disappoint the people.
In his remarks, the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Asue Ighodalo Esq., thanked the party faithfuls and leaders for the confidence repose in him, said Obaseki had laid a functional foundation at every sector that he would build upon.
