A Non – Governmental Organisation, NGO, Engr. Paul Ogedegbe Foundation in collaboration with Paul Ogedegbe Movement, has cleared the medical bills of some Indigent patients at some hospitals in Edo Central Senatorial District of Edo State.
The gesture, was the hallmark of a medical outreach programme carried out by Foundation to bring succour and relief to some indigent who can offset their medical bills.
The state coordinator, Comrade Ernest Irete lead the team for visitation to so many hospitals in the 5 local govt areas in Esanland. The first place point of visit are Eronmosele Hospital Ekpoma, wisdom hospital Ubiaja, Shepherd Royal Hospital Igueben, Divine Hospital Irrua, Victory Hospital Uromi to bring hope and relief to patients struggling to pay their medical bill and wheel chairs were also distributed.
Speaking to newsmen during the visit, Comrade Ernest Irete said; “As part of our ongoing humanitarian efforts, we paid the outstanding hospital bills for several patients who were unable to afford the costs of their treatment and also gave wheel chairs to Sunday Akhidue, Mrs Izehi Sunday, and others across the 5 local governments in Edo central senatorial district. This gesture was aimed at alleviating their financial burdens and ensuring they receive the necessary care without worrying about the expenses.
We believe that access to quality healthcare is a fundamental right, and no one should have to suffer or go without treatment due to financial constraints.
Our foundation and movement are committed to continuing this mission and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
