A Labour Party (LP) chieftain and former Esan Central Local Government chairmanship candidate, Comrade Kingsley Ijebor has said the party governorship aspirant in Edo State, Dr. Dorry Afe Okojie will transform the fortunes of the Heartbeat State positively if voted.
Addressing journalists in Ewu at the weekend, Comrade Kingsley Ijebor described Dr. Dorry Okojie as a home-bred politician whose governorship ambition is championed by the ‘Obidients’ and the youths’ movements based on his track record.
Comrade Ijebor said that Dr. Dorry remains the only man that has become increasingly popular on the lips of political pundits, lobbyists, party leaders, delegates and electorates.
He said that the Edo-born real estate billionaire who over the years has spent proceeds from his business to empower lots of people by personally building roads, empowering security outfits and youths, paying house rents and giving scholarships to numerous students, remains the best man for the job.
He noted that in a nation where good governance and deliverability of the dividends of democracy to the masses, by many political leaders have become elusive, the onus lies on the Edo State labour party delegates, leaders and electorate, to take the destiny of their natural resources rich state in their hands and change the narrative come 2024.
He said they should do this by electing people with the prerequisite administrative acumen, histories of creativity, competency, and unblemished credentials just like Dr. Dorry Okojie.
