Okpebholo and the credible witnesses
By John Miyaki
It is written that, “By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established”, and in this case, the words of these credible witnesses have been established against the APC candidate that his types are not needed in Osadebey Avenue.
I have insisted that Osadebey Avenue (the seat of power) is a place for serious-minded individuals capable of designing and implementing policies that will expand the economy, create jobs, and improve the living standards of the people. It is for men like Asue Ighodalo, who have committed themselves to study, can articulate a vision, and are able to entrust important state responsibilities to competent hands – not surrogates sent by the whispering godfathers at midnight.
The impression that Senator Monday Okpebholo is intellectually challenged is deeply entrenched and established.
Mr. Charles Aniagolu, a veteran broadcaster at Arise Television, told Kassim Afegbua to his face saying, “I have to be honest, I mean, listening to him (Okpebholo), he doesn’t sound articulate or even vaguely literate. And I’m not trying to be rude; I’m just being honest. That’s how he comes across to me”.
Even Kassim Afegbua agreed on yet another Arise TV show before a Newsday anchor saying, “Monday Okpebholo or the other person are just comedians. You know, they are just playing a script which will not take them anywhere.”
So, vote wisely. Do not say I didn’t advise you. Vote the man who feels your pains. Asue Ighodalo feels our pains.
