Obaseki’s Shoprite, Oshiomhole’s Shop-dead
Government is a continuum, we are told. That was why our main man insisted that Governor Godwin Obaseki was even better than himself and should be voted for.
Today, Oshiomhole is displeased that the Shoprite project, which he initially planned has been realized by the very candidate he endorsed.
However, he has now threatened that Shoprite will become ‘Shopdead’ if his ‘afterthought’ candidate, Monday Okpebholo, wins the election. What kind of elder statesman behaves like that?”
This comment is not only petty but tells of a man lacking in consistency and principle. It’s troubling that this project meant to benefit the people of the state, could now become a target of his vindictive political witch-hunt simply because it was achieved by the man he now so much loathes.
Rather than celebrate, he choose to weaponize it to undermine our progress for the sake political vendettas. This is destructive politics. Sheer witch-hunt capable of project abandonment. Sad!
