Obaseki celebrates Elder Okunbor @ 90, hails contributions to State’s devt
The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has eulogized Elder David Okunbor on his 90th birthday celebration, hailing his commitment to the growth and development of his immediate community and the State.
Obaseki who was at the residence of the celebrant in Benin City, the Edo State capital, prayed that God grants Elder Okunbor more years in good health, wisdom, and sound mind to continue to dutifully serve the community and advance courses for the betterment of the people.
He said, “Baba does not look 90 years of age; he lived well. He is looking so well and healthy. At 90, he is strong and articulate. We pray God preserves him in good health and sound mind to continue to be of service to the people of the community.”
Responding, the celebrant, Elder David Okunbor commended the governor and his entourage for honouring him on his 90th birthday.
He said, “I am very happy to have attained 90 years of age. 90 years carries a lot of responsibility. I was not expecting the governor to come celebrate with me today, but he did. His presence means so much to me. I am grateful.”
